The LM-GTP (a continuation of the GT1 class) class was dropped in the early 2000s.

After it was consolidated along with the LMP900 class into a new LMP1 class. While LMP675 class was dropped.

LMP1 continued under various rulesets up until 2021. When the ACO and IMSA merged their two respected top classes.

Creating the Hypercar class across both series. Made up of cars following either the FIA Hypercar or LMDh formula.

I was hoping the latest ruleset would bring a few homologation specials, but alas not. In my opinion homologation specials from both Le Mans and Rally have brought forth some of the most iconic cars of all time, it's a shame that's gone away.

Isn't the Aston Martin Valkyrie sorta a homoligation special?

But... yeah. I thought Koenigsegg would do one for sure, given their first car was literally built for GT1.
