He labeled himself a socialist. He also talks out of both mouths, he calls himself anti Zionist but it's currently bragging about his positive interviews Israeli media where he said he wants to build bridges with Zionists.

He's a net positive in grabbing people from the far right and pushing them left. He's a net negative when it comes to liberal Zionism and normalizing the colonization of Palestine.

If you're a centrist or right leaning, by all means watch him. If you're already a leftist, you can avoid the brainrot.

Read the comments if you want to see the mindset of haaretz readers. It's a "liberal leftist" outlet that serves primarily to whitewash Israel and portray them as diverse.

Of course there's nothing leftist about a settler colonial ethno-religious supremacist apartheid state, so...

There's a paywall, so I can't see the "building bridges" part, but the summary says this

In his first interview with Israeli media, left-wing streamer Hasan Piker tells Haaretz that October 7 must be seen in the context of the Israeli occupation, that even liberal Zionists should be 'named and shamed,' and explains why most Americans just don't like Israel anymore

So I kind of doubt "building bridges" was some centrist take. It was more likely about educating ignorant/confused American Zionists out of that mindset, if I had to guess based on what I know of him. If you have access to the article though, I'm happy to read a copy/paste of it.

I do agree that an "Israeli leftist" publication seems suspicious at best. However, Piker appears on other right-wing media all the time. Fox News, Peirs Morgan, etc. So I don't think his giving an interview necessarily endorses them.
