This is fascinating, every once in a while you come across these comments that are truly edifying.

Sure but when a mast cell degranulates, it releases histamine, prostaglandins, and other stuff. He isn't in the hospital for continuous anaphylaxis or pain/inflammation from like PGE2, he is there for a "mold infection." It seems more likely that his mast cells perhaps died off rather than sensitized due to lack of use / chronic suppression and now he has almost like self induced AIDs/weakened immune system. And probably some vitamin deficiencies exacerbating everything.

Looking through the literature, chronic benzo use is indeed associated with weakened immune systems AND paradoxically heightened immune responses, probably due to genetic and environmental variability in response to taking those.

I still think he did some weird ass treatment with his coma in Russia though that he isn't telling anyone about.
