That's all for 2025 ☺️ Bonus photos of the deer watching us toil:

Who knew. Nice job regardless, it's a lot of work. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Arcanepotato@crazypeople.online [S] 3 points 1 year ago (1 child) We do have close to 40 plants, but the sun exposure changed a lot this year and I'll be surprised if we get 20 lbs total 😭 they are all still green, too. In the past we've thrown them whole into freezer bags and just pulled them out when they were done producing. If you're just making sauce and milling them, it's just fine - no loss of texture or anything. Sometimes I'd dehydrate them a bit first to cut down on cool times. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] plantsmakemehappy@lemmy.world 1 point 1 year ago If I had the freezer space that would be a great idea. Thanks for the tip. I'm actually ok with my small batches since I do everything by myself and I don't have a tomato mill or anything so it takes a while. permalink fedilink source parent
