Of course the people who use AO3 the most wouldn't be happy in the slightest about that site and especially the pay to listen audiobooks. Like, we don't need a vibe cuck coded clone ruining the reputation of both fanfiction and the largest fanfiction site in the world. Especially in a time where I guarantee fanfiction is under heavy scrutiny from dumbasses who say "ReAdInG bAd" alongside the elitist jackasses who don't consider it a valid form.of writing.

Also, the person behind the site really did a disservice to everyone by usong generative AI, which os the antithesis of fanfiction writing, IMO. Fanfiction writing requires some level of creativity, thought, and brain power. Vibe cuck "coding" a website is something someone whose brainwaves have completely flatlined could still do in their sleep.

The vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2026-30612, affects Windows and macOS updaters that contacted the app's abandoned domain (popcorntimeupd.xyz) over unencrypted HTTP and accepted executables without verifying digital signatures.

We all rightfully bitch about the vibe coded apps, but the bar was about yey high all along.

A group of 21 Republican state AGs then sent a letter to the FCC questioning TP-Link’s claims regarding router security and the company’s independence from China. The letter urged the FCC to require remedies for “past and ongoing state-law violations” in its review of TP-Link’s application and to protect router users “from exploitation by the Chinese Communist Party.”

Republicans come up with fake problems to distract people from the real ones.

They are intentionally failing to implement proper security measures to be able to claim that further AI development would be dangerous. What it would actually be is expensive, and AI firms want to stop spending on R&D without worrying about competitors (particularly open weight competitors) leapfrogging them.

Many years ago I had a wireless printer flood our corporate network with traffic. There is no good reason to buy smart devices for home use, but plenty good ones to not do it.
