Not that I dont like jokes in horror, but it all depends on how many jokes were talking about. I would fully expect there to be some, but going overboard would change the type of movie your going for. My guess is it probably was for the best. Can't wait to see this.

Pokemon doesn't even have that kind of release cadence, and it's known for having severely rushed out games.

Maybe if they include cheap third party mobile games in this they could accomplish it, but I doubt it.

I hail from the 90s, the days of Parasite Eve, Silent Hill 1, and the early RE's. Short answer: yes.

Slightly longer: RE4 is the only RE I've played and beat multiple times, on multiple platforms. All the others? One and done, no reason to playthrough again. But RE4 also gives you Mercenaries mode, which is its own separate arcadey game within the game. That, as well as them keeping the RE vibe despite there being more action, is what makes it THE best RE, IMO. Memorable moments, cheesy dialogue, RE common tropes, it's all there.

I'd say give it a shot. RE5 tried to hit the same stride, and failed miserably.

I love different takes on series like this. I always wanted a Metal Gear Rising but with Dad missions instead of VR missions. Raiden has to cut the corners off sandwiches and race down buses to return forgotten homework.

yep that's very fair! i just think options are nice to have either way, i don't think it's great to lock people into first person considering motion sickness is so common.

not that i mind third-person at all but even among my little group of irl resi fans there were people (not just me) excited about the first-person pov in the trailer. oh well, still interested to see how it goes!

If you haven't seen "Wrecked" it's a three season comedy he made after WKUK, and it is absolutely glorious.

Kind of the opposite of Weapons in percentage of horror/comedy. But the same mix, like a Tucker and Dale type thing where they satirize horror but play it straight enough it's still plausibly serious.
