during COVID I just blasted this around them every single time. I'll drive beside them as they walk to the store from their truck, I'll even be so petty as to wait and continue playing it while they walk back to their car

always let them know nobody gives a shit and they are stupid af

And during those various ownership changes they "cost optomized" their product quality down the toilet.

Dropped their long time coffee supplier for a cheaper alternative.

Stopped baking fresh in store, and moved to frozen product from a central kitchen which is then reheated at the franchise locations.

For a cheap option, look for sublets. Might not be ideal living conditions, and might be sharing spaces with others, but for Jul/Aug I think many students especially are looking for people to occupy their place while they are out for summer break.

Not sure if monthly rate hotels will allow for pets. The cat is definitely the hardest thing to figure out to relocate well, since worst case you can stuff things in a self-storage unit until you can move in.

I'm told that it will be important to have people from all around the city write in and/or delegate to the Planning Committee on the 16th (next Tuesday). So if folks know anyone living in wards outside of the downtown core, say, Stoney Creek, or across the mountain, or especially places like Glanbrook or Mount Hope where the fights around urban expansion happen: please ask them to write to their councillors this week <3

Democracy's done a lot for workers. Ask NYCers who now have free transit thanks to Mamdani. Ask California fast food workers making $20/hour. You're not mad at democracy, you're mad at those who seek to undermine it (and do). Electorates used to have a voice and exert pressure. Some still do. Many of us Canadians are probably still feeling sore about being screwed over by Carney, who's turned out only to be 'elbows up' to working class Canadians, marginalized groups, our natural environment, and future generations. So long as people get their news from billionaire-controlled platforms, the billionaires - who are key, perhaps the key democracy-underminers - will tend to win though
