If you want to be absolutely certain. Try waiting. Or see if there's a way to disable the 2nd display feature while using the bank app.

Nice. I'll give it a shot. Thank you.
Foobar2000 is pretty minimalist and, by default, monochromatic. I don't have access to any e-ink android devices, but I think it should work pretty well on them.

You should open a bug report in AVES.
I would install https://lineageos.org/ if I hadn't already installed GrapheneOS.
Not on Kindle Fires unfortunately.
Extra dim does shit all, and doesn't lock the brightness slider to 0%.
Been wanting the same thing since Lux basically stopped working completely for me.
It's built into Android since 12. Here's part of the source In the UI it's called Extra Dim.
oh i have used aves
i tried aves and it plays the videos but just really stuttery
What encoding are the videos from your S21 in? Is it something that the phone (or just app) doesn't support hardware accelerated decoding of?
Like old coder said, try another app first.
Have you tried with VLC? You don't mention the media player you have used.
Thanks for the suggestion, tried it out and the app ran kind of sluggish and i disliked the ui.
Just tried it out and it's pretty good, tysm for the suggestion!

Been using this one, and really like it. I sync it with nextcloud, but you don't have to.
This might work for you: https://github.com/TraceApps/cooktrace
I use Mealie and I like it a lot, but I mostly chose it because I couldn't get Tandoor running on my Pi 5.
Edit: Ah, sorry, missed the thing about offline functionality.
You can use an automation app like Tasker or Macrodoid so an alarm is set before 10-15mins for a calender event.
I actually never thought of using lineageOS support list like that. Thanks
My personal opinion is that custom android Roms are going to die slowly after google locks down android.
If you're open to it, you might want to look into Linux phones. Specifically Fairphone 6 with PostMarketOS. It's not quite there, but it's close and they are actively working on the last couple hardware issues. Sounds like it should be ready within a month or so.
This thread talks more about it:
LineageOS (a custom Android OS) has list of all phones which it supports. Since you can't install custom OS without unlocking bootloader, you can consider this as list of phones with unlockable bootloader
Dicio is almost what im looking for. I just wish I could configure it so it directly triggers some action without having to say it. Thanks for the recommendations :)
