It's not on Play (Google rejected the accessibility use), so it's an APK from GitHub releases, built by GitHub Actions from the source.

Did you explain its use as an accessibility aid being its core feature for differently abled people? If you have explained that as a core feature google could've budged. You would've needed to limit the API to select few like OpenAI, Gemini, Claude with additional guardrails and use reporting. But, it could've been accepted by google.

    Apps using system webview are already mitigated. Apps using system HTTPS connection protocols and SSL libraries are also mitigated. Now, for some apps which ship and use their own SSL library and do not use google safe browsing or update the cert list online they could be vulnerable.

    Staffers don’t know whether the site will shut down — but managing editor Derrek Lee confirms to The Verge that all remaining staff were laid off today. EIC Shruti Shekar confirms she’s been laid off, senior editor Harish Jonnalagadda and senior content producer Nicolas Sutrich wrote they’d been laid off, and senior editor Namarah Saud Fatmi also appears to be gone.

    Android Central’s masthead was already down to six staffers after layoffs earlier this year. Earlier today, owner Future PLC announced it would pause its share buyback and focus on reducing debt.

    Project rebrand: Nura (nura.eco)
     

    After a one and a half year selection process, the new name of the operating system formerly known postmarketOS has been announced during the mystery talk of our very own conference. From now on this project is known as Nura!

    Nura comes as an abbreviation of Nuraghe, which are ancient (3000 BC and older) granite structures found in Sardinia in Italy, many of which still stand today. The deeper meaning is the stability and the resistance to millenniums, which fits well with the our project as the idea has been from the start to keep devices our OS runs on useful for a long time. The name was contributed by Davide Depau as part of our initial request for community contributions for the new name. Thanks a lot Davide!
