The graphics of the Metavers looked like these old badly animated cartoons a few decades ago.

I mean, I understand why that was the case. Their thought process was probably something like this:

We can't go for realistic graphics, because we want everyone to join - not just PC graphic enthusiasts with beefy PCs.

We can't go for a specific art style because again, it should be for everyone.

This results in boring, outdated looking graphics.

And for content? They had:

  • chatrooms
  • mini games
  • ads

Who could have predicted that this would suck? /s

Absolutely wild. The ceo following AI over his lawyers is so batshit insane.

I had basically written off Subnautica 2 because of this. I figured whatever chance it had of being good died.

But… if it sells well this shit box ceo and his predatory company on the hook for 250 mil?

I might just buy it to make sure they get fucked.

It's hard to protect dipshits from being dipshits. Scammers have used different methods to separate the stupid and gullible from the rest of the crowd to focus on scamming, like the Nigerian prince scheme. It looks like they have found the newest pool of extremely gullible dipshits.
