I see, thanks for an explanation
I am afraid IoT would ignore expiry date if it bakes certificates in like they already do sometimes

Yeah, I forgot about the part where they illegally took devices without detaining the owner, or something like that. I'm not fluent in legalese spells
I don't quite understand, what are those keys and how are they different from certificates, and how is it really used by an attacker. Is it that an attacker may use those to sign MitM fake certificate but claim it to have been checked by eMudhra? Is there really no way of terminating a CA certificate?
They say, they observed flashes of light and the phone rebooted (or something like that) which means he obviously was in cahoots with the devil destroyed evidence. That is if they really even saw that, but maybe there is a recording
Regarding the stopped working, after an update and before reboot I usually see videos, wine, and sometimes system settings stop working. But the only thing that breaks is ricochet-refresh client which is AUR and I think it is maybe not made how it should
Yeah, it's clear that partial update is not something you want, and sometimes it stops working until restart, indeed
I guess, you can argue that repository maintainers and distro maintainers are different people, but I feel like it still counts as you can't go on without updates
But I'm fine with that, it didn't break for me yet :)
You can run without updates, but sometimes you will not be able to install a new package because dependencies will return Not Found
I think, it's by design, to not maintain a ton of stale dependencies, but maybe I'm doing it wrong, don't know
Depends on where you are, but even then, nowadays 1000 miles is not impossible distance to cover
Even if I had my own, I wouldn't carry it across country for a visit of a few days, but I did rent in such a case more than once.
It's really more about unenforced safety rules, people sometimes drive like crazy and they always do that on the scooters they own, because rental have a speed limit
Yeah, with bad luck blanks may kill even from distance, so it's really better not to push your luck pointing a loaded gun
Yeah, the last paragraph is what I expect, very little percentage will be directly affected and will find out that was the issue, the rest would think it's fair because people in charge can't be at fault.
