I find it weird how they remove comments of people with massive upvote ratios. Like arent those comments the community overwhelmingly agrees with? How are they justifying consistently censoring their community this way?

PTB just because of that

Probably a noob question, but I wonder if someone has experience with that. I am looking to buy a TV and I wonder is it makes sense to buy one with decent HDR capabilities, when my plan is to watch pirated movies from my Linux device via HDMI. Is that technically possible? Is it easy?

If it matters, I am on Fedora silverblue.

Fashs need to get bashed and to be honest, I wouldnt bash someone (or take any other drastic action) just based on this. If they are really fascist there will be more situations like this anyway, so its probably just a matter of time till I am fully convinced as well.

I think the question should be more concrete: "Why are french people riotous to this day?"

Many european societies have a revolutionary or riotous history, but not many have been able to maintain the present. What conditions and ways of organizing have resulted in this easily visible difference?

Idk, but it would hopefully lead to a more interesting answer than "thats what they always do".

Like, I feel you, but this much text is a pretty big reaction for what is happening. You even write yourself about US election season. Its annoying, but it will pass.

And till then its probably better to stick to good and transparent moderation practices, just because leftists, anti electoralist members of those communities deserve it.

Great advice here already, so I focus on a different thing: I can understand that you worry about these things, but being extra negative about the future doesnt really help you coping. If you think your negativity is solely rooted in how you understand how the future will look, I suggest you look for more balanced information on this. Just from the top of my head I remember this (iberal) plan, that explains a pretty clear plan to limit climate change to below 2C. So instant anticapitalism with a focus on degrowth and CO2 reduction would most likely be even more succesful. But if you check in with yourself and realize that your negative outlook is also connected to your mental state, I hope you have the chance to find support in whichever way works best for you and is available. From my experience, many anarchists (way more than the average people I know) have to deal with something like that atleast once in their life.

The store might have insurance for that, but yeah in the end they are the ones that have to deal with the loss. Some just take the hit to their profits while others try to get it back from costumers or employees. Long term they could stop their most stolen products, which could be bad for the "bad company" as they lose distribution. But this scenario is unlikely as there are not really any coordinated stealing campaigns

Suppose you boycott #Unilever because they fight cash as a member of Bill Gates’ “Better than Cash Alliance”. You could use the linked app on a flipper zero to change the price tags of Unilever goods to “Boycott Unilever”, for example.

Saw that the other version didn't use gender neutral or gender inclusive language. And the quality was pretty shitty tbh.

I used the latest comparable data for work related deaths I could find without much effort: Source.

I added the profession of sex workers even though the available data is not really comparable, but I rated "Lifetime prevalence of [..] workplace violence ranged from 45% to 75%" as probably more dangerous than the ~0,1% yearly death rate of logging workers.

TL;DR: Organize at your workplace to enforce safety standards and maybe establish new ones so less workers die.

"Last Place Douche Bag" making fun of cops that claim to have the most dangerous job when there are many jobs that are way more dangerous.
