To rephrase a thought that @echo@lemmy.world said in their reply:

Do you remember what it was like before you were born? Chances are no (if you do, please speak with a scientist to study this phenomenon). Thats exactly what death is like. Whether I live 10, 20, 30, or 100 years longer than 40, to me it makes no difference - I wont be aware of those years if Im dead. Sure, for some those 40-50 years they live may be amazing even, but after youre dead its neither good nor bad - it just isnt. So for me personally (always speaking about my own personal beliefs, and never trying to claim that others should also wish to only live until 40/50) Id prefer to die at 40ish. I don't want children (because i dont like them, dont want the responsibility, and my moral code), I refuse to ever get married, so all my life is is a trip that I try to make as comfortable and enjoyable as possible until it stops being so.

Does that mean I will take matters into my own hands and suicide, either by assisted or other methods? No. But in the hypothetical scenario where one could choose when they die in advance, Id personally choose 40 if asked right now.

And to insert a witty quote, "Death is a lot like stupidity. Its only painful for others". I unfortunately don't rememember who said it.

My suggestion is do it. Its a cool project, and clearly there is interest from others who could contribute to the project by suggestions, bug fixing, or general collaboration, helping you learn. Just add some kind of disclaimer in the project that its not ready yet, and that youre still learning and it should be fine.

Your first issue which is evident from your post is that you think Android = Samsung and vice versa. Thats not how android works.

To answer your question, I like android, but Im on a degoogled operating system called /e/os. Granted it might not be for you if you dont care about privacy (why tho?) but just the fact that anyone can take stock android and do stuff like create a whole new (degoogled in this case) operating system is so much better then iOS

Yeap thats what i do. My handle (dont know its proper name) will only fit the blades if you snap them in half. I just buy the cheapest ones since i only ever use each half for one shave anyway. I also just got the cheapest handle I could find on the internet that ships to me, so you definitely dont need anything fancy i think. I guess in a year I could invest in something nicer, but for now it gets the hair off my face so im not worried

Also, glad to know my misfortune at least made you laugh 😂

First time I tried, my face looked like I was put in a sack with a cat and thrown into a river, but in fewer attempts than I expected I got good at it. Now I almost never cut myself. One time, and it was the last, I rushed and cut myself quite deep on my chin to the point I had a few layers of skin hanging, but nothing that couldn't heal without stitches. I just snipped it with some small scissors I keep in the bathroom and continued shaving, though it was bleeding quite a bit and quite stingy.

I also keep a pack of the regular single use Gillette's on hand for times I'm in a rush, and for the downstairs area since theres no way the other sharp blade is going anywhere near there.

I foam with a horsehair brush and regular cheap cream that comes in a tube.

40-44 is standard for July here. Possibly will reach 45, and maybe 46 in August (because the environment is F'd up). Granted, I am in the Mediterranean and not technically in Europe geographically, but still

For everyone who cant understand the hype of eating avocado as anything other than a spread, I recommend splitting it in half and squeezing half a lemon on each avocado half (it collects in the hole where the pit was), then eating with a teaspoon. Here in Cyprus we are often teased (and we do a fair bit of self deprecating jokes about this) that we put lemon on everything, but I think it genuinely works with avocado, and its a great little snack.
