Because C as in Caren and K as in Karyn. Because Bill and Will sound the same, especially if you have an accent. Also because if you just say Alpha foxtrot november, it’s shorter than saying A as in Apple, F as in Frank, N as in Nick etc.

But you do you, I just find it extremely convenient to use it to make it clear to a phone. If you want to stay cute and confusing that’s fine with me.

I think that a color needs a context for me to pick it. I don’t want my oven to be green. I don’t want my hair to be khaki. I like certain items or textures in certain colors. Any color looks awful as a giant uniform rectangle on a screen. I don’t have a favorite color period, it all depends. Color of what? Color for what?

There’s so many child crushers on the road but that one is definitely one of the crushiest. Having fewer of them on the road is a wine for road safety, especially for everyone not in a car.

So if I get this straight, me traveling to france and streaming 1GB of movies I own on my jellyfin server in the US would make me receive a tax bill in the mail?

The french are so good at making laws without scoping out the consequences

The road goes north to south how does leaving it open make it any more accessible to the people in the east bay?

You can still drive to ocean beach, even with sunset dunes as a park. Actually it means that the beach is now one street closer to the east bay, so we technically made it a tiny bit more accessible LOL.

The road is falling in the ocean at the southern end.

Anticipated chaos in the Sunset neighborhood has not materialized.

The city has already invested a few millions and installed park infrastructure, art, playgrounds and other cool park stuff. They actually did an amazing job.

The road is still open to bikes and it’s actually one of the most pleasant rides in San Francisco.

SF has already voted on this twice. If you are feeling like the city is forcing something down your neighborhood throat then write a ballot initiative to secede à la Piedmont, we’ll see where it falls.

If your neighborhood is nice and iconic you should be happy to share it with your neighbors not close it off just to pave it over and save 1min on your drive to the bucks.

Fuck this prop, fuck your car, fuck your entitlement.

Editor’s note: … In this article, we discuss the technical challenges of building an orbital data center constellation: launching all of it, dissipating heat in space, dealing with radiation, and addressing latency issues in orbit. Read part one here.

I find the napkin math interesting, especially putting into light that given expected longevity of such satellites, 5 to 7 years, they will have to do 10 to 42 launches per day. SpaceX will need $1.5 to $10 trillions to make it happen. All of that so the slop machine doesn’t have to run into obstacles like democracy ? So it can destroy communities and the environment freely? What are we doing?
