At the beginning of the season you'd say it was mostly luck, and it kinda was with the reliability and performance of the other top teams (and Russell's car shitting itself every other race), but through the rest of the year he's proven his skill, amazing work.

Insane race, we got everything, action everywhere, good TV direction, good one. And what a wonderful podium, two of the most successful champions and the just crowned champion of the year.
