So we’ve all been grieving the loss of many people in the last month that left the Star Trek Family. The one person who has had possibly the greatest impact was Sir Stewart. I decided to order this replica of Eline’s necklace from “The Inner Light” as a tangible keepsake to honor Sir Stewart. It was his favorite episode. Even as I type this, getting the words out are still painful. 😭 Hell, today’s STLV guest announcement had acknowledgment from Creation Entertainment that we are still reeling.

I thought I’d share this here since it hasn’t sold out, suggesting not many people are aware Factory Entertainment made this. This is a difficult time still and it may be a very long time before we feel okay.

The Star Trek Family lost five members this month. Each person mattered but with Sir Stewart, this has been a tremendous loss for so many people, not just Star Trek fans. His passing has touched us in ways we hadn’t been prepared for. The Star Trek Family, which he made arguably the greatest impact with his contributions, is hurting. For many fans, Jean-Luc Picard was a father figure and of course a role model. The Star Trek fandom is a very tight-nit community and we are leaning on each other. He will be missed.

Fans across the world mourn the passing of a true and irreplaceable legend. As Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Patrick Stewart took the starship Enterprise to places it had never gone before, and he inspired a whole next generation of star-gazers who looked longingly ahead to a brighter future for all humanity. Our hearts are heavy, indeed. Rest in the heavens, Captain.

While my familiarity with Bayza’s work is primarily through Star Trek, his passing hurts immensely as an Asian and a fellow Filipino. He voiced many background characters in Lower Decks and Prodigy. Most notably he did an amazing impersonation of George Takei for “All the World’s a Stage” as Sool’U and Snell in “Fully Dilated”. Most notably overall Yu was known for his work voicing Looney Tunes characters, being hailed as the modern Bugs Bunny.

You can listen to his interview with Phil Yu for the podcast All the Asians on Star Trek from 2022.

Ordered just in time for Halloween to wear with my new SNW skant. Arrived in three days which was fast. I am super pleased with the fit.

These are one of three officially produced boots from Fluevog worn on screen in Strange New Worlds and Starfleet Academy. This boot is the Starfleet which is the standard duty footwear worn on Strange New Worlds. It comes in white if you wish to wear a Medical uniform.

Starfleet Academy has two models, a full size boot called Academy and a shorter shaft called Recruit. Aside from this there is a ankle-height version of Starfleet called Cadet (available in black only) that is a retail exclusive style that is not seen on screen.

If you plan on purchasing any of these boots, please follow the sizing guide, as each one is different. Below I have included additional photos of the boots from different angles.

Last year my grandfather passed away. We bonded together through Star Trek. I had to go through a wardrobe and empty it out today. The wardrobe itself didn’t belong to him, so it is getting returned. Anyways I found a small bag that contained hotel keys. I started looking through the collection and burst into tears. 😭 He kept two keys from the Hilton the summer of I want to say ‘98. My family went up to Las Vegas with him for a work trip he had, attending a apparel industry related convention. One of the days my mom broke away take me to The Experience. We went on The Klingon Encounter (look it up on YouTube, you’ll find recordings of the attraction). My grandfather didn’t get to see The Experience.I only remember The Klingon Encounter; Quarks as I know now was more adult oriented with the alcohol they served.

It is bittersweet finding these keys. I’ll probably put these in a frame or something. I am never letting go of these.

Here is a photo of me with one of the Klingons at The Experience.

Two hotel keys for the Las Vegas Hilton. The keys themselves have e promotional design for Star Trek: The Experience. It features five actors standing in front of a cosmic background. From left to right: male Romulan, male Klingon, female Trill, male Cardassian and male Human. The female Trill is holding an outstretched right hand. Bellow the hand is the logo for The Experience with the stylized text for “Star Trek The Experience Las Vegas Hilton” printed.
