Sora has been missing for 108 days.

There has been absolutely nothing known about Sora since he was disappeared on June 19th.

Thanks to some help from local friends, I was able to scrounge up enough to get the Leave of Appeal submitted after working on it for a month and a half. Thank you to those here on Lemmy who donated.

Now I need to send a lot of letters and make a lot of phone calls. Which means I need more money that I do not have.

I need at least €100 immediately to mail physical letters and packages, and to continue to promote this issue here in Ireland. If anyone here can help me reach that goal, your generosity would be greatly appreciated. There are many other things I need money for right now, but this is the top priority at the moment.

I am still yelling at the Irish government about being given a work permit and trying to get legal aid to reestablish my legal representation. But so far, I haven't heard anything in response. Until then, what little I get in pension and the help you provide is all I have to mount a legal defense.

I am still in urgent need of funds to continue to push this case through the Irish supreme Court.

I can't move unless I get immediate help. I cannot afford the constant expenses associated with representing myself in court. PLEASE help with however much you can spare. €100 is needed immediately, €35 is needed in the following days.

I am still in urgent need of funds to continue to push this case through the Irish supreme Court.

This is the first time that the Courts are waiting on me, rather than me waiting on them. I don't want there to be any delay between their request for a response and my response. I don't want them to interpret that delay as a lack of interest. I have already informed them of my emotional state and financial situation, but I have no way of knowing if that will sway their opinion of me or how long it is taking to properly file an appeal.

Please consider donating any amount your can. I have to notarize and submit the documents as soon as humanly possible. Thank you.

If you think those rules are too restrictive, wait until you see your instance’s rules. You have to follow those regardless of which community you post in.

My rules are there to help people search for music that has already been posted. I generally ask someone to fix their post and wait a day or two if it’s something minor like that.

    For what I need to do next, what I’ve needed to do for the last month, I have not raised any money. I used the government stipend I get to do a couple of little things, but that isn’t nearly enough to cover everything and others in the Irish Courts are waiting for me to act.

    Good news on the petition, it has passed 100 signatures. That's not a lot, not nearly enough to get the people in power to take it seriously, but it's a good milestone to reach, and hopefully it's just the beginning. If you have not yet signed the petition, that is another great way you can help us. Please do that, and share it with everyone you know. It doesn't take a lot of time, and it doesn't cost anything. Thank you greatly for your help in that respect.

    Not a lot has changed, but I am doing a lot of work and finally communicating with people who actually have the power to do something about this situation. But I cannot move forward with the legal appeal because I don't have enough money.

    My previous request still stands. I cannot move forward unless I have the money I need to notarize and submit the court documents necessary to request (just request) an appeal on our case. Quoted from previous post:

    Because I got more than I expected last time, and ended up just barely having enough to cover the cost of everything, I'm guessing I'll need €350 to €450 in the next few days. If anyone can help out with that, please and thank you. And if you can't, please show this post to anyone who might be able to help.

    Thank you to everyone who donated in the last couple of weeks. I ended up getting more than I asked for, but a bunch of unexpected steps made the document submission and notarization cost way more than I was expecting. With food money I was given through the government, I had just enough to pay for everything. So thank you, again, for you generosity.

    Now I have to do another round of submissions, including sending multiple packages (binders of printed documents), as well as sending mail to another country. And this is me doing everything myself without paying for a solicitor because I'm still getting a lot of dead air from everyone I talk to. We haven't even started the pretrial yet, and that's going to be even worse. But between pushing an appeal through the Supreme Court, appealing directly to government officials, and publicizing everything to put as many eyes on what is happening, I don't know what else I'm suppose to do.

    I have sent several emails to the mother simply asking if Sora is okay, offering to send Sora his toys and books and clothes, trying to get any kind of information about him and any kind of a response out of her and I have gotten absolutely nothing in return, Sora has ceased to exist when he was forced back to Japan against his will two months ago. Which is what I told the Irish Judges over and over again would happen, as they rolled their eyes at me and called two major acts of violent assault and child abuse and years of ongoing verbal abuse and harassment a marital spat.

    Sometimes I don't know how I have the will to even crawl out of bed. But as long as he's out there, he needs me. So I will drag my near-lifeless husk from one end of Ireland to the other if that's what it takes to rescue him and bring him back home. This will either be the best thing I ever do, or it'll be the last thing I ever do.
