I think perhaps the original Star Wars just being kind of a cool sci-fi/fantasy setting with more of a vague outline and nothing super concrete actually is what let it thrive in the way it did. I don't know if it was intentional by any means, Lucas just wanted to make a neat space fantasy story and didn't put a whole lot of thought into it. Nerds love to debate, nerds love sci-fi, nerds love fantasy. It's almost a perfect breeding ground for what happened. Lucas and then Disney saw a rabid fan base and thought "I can use this" then tried to enforce more meaning into something that was vague and fun to speculate on and it ended up going very poorly until you look at the success of the sales. Cause some people just like space/fantasy stories.

I think they are remaking the movies or there is a show being produced now, I vaguely recall hearing something along those lines.

I really dislike anything sweet potato, but, at least to me, yaki imo is really good.

Poirot, Coupling and IT Crowd are some of the best telly ever created in my opinion.

When he was elected I was very scared that my son would be old enough to be conscripted and die in a pointless war based on the time line compared to original Hilter.

Good news though! Looks like he won't even get to live to see 10 years old! 👍

Suicidal Snickers

Dwarf Fortress.
I would constantly miss meals and sleep to keep playing. Sometimes multiple days at a time. Went like 36 hours without eating or sleeping until someone popped into vent and asked what I was up to and after hearing me talk about the Fortress the asked when the last time I ate was...

Longest duration I've seen for that kind of behavior is...

It's approaching almost 7 years now.

If releasing the list would be detrimental to a thing... that thing probably needs to be looked at in a very harsh light. Like that argument is so weak... I don't want the things I like to be supporting child rape. Please remove all the child rapists from the things I like, thank you.

I understand that this is a comment about his projection, but still...

Yes, he committed treason, several times probably. Hell, one of them was even broadcast live! But here we are.

Maybe stop giving the murderers more money then?

Whole lot easier to use the military for violent racism when there's less brown people in it.
