Not an expert but I thought I would share my thoughts based on experience. When you look at the size of a file it's stored in actual metadata of the file so it can be accessed quickly however since a folder is a collection of files it can't easily keep that info. Once you ask the is what the size it is has to go and add up the values of each file contained in it. This can take a bit of time especially with larger folders so if windows constantly calculated the size of every folder it would just waste resources and make everything painfully slow. Again not an expert this is just how I think it happens.
Pretty sure this is just a new way of anonymous posting. I run my local FB community page and it recently asked me if I wanted to allow "nicknames" in the group. Assuming that's what these are it just allows people another way to not associate their real name with what they are saying.
Why am I even surprised by the US being the US anymore.
"Hey you know this thing thats super bad?"
"Of course we've known it's bad for many years now"
"Well we should officially condemn it."
"Whoa whoa let's hold up and think about that for a second."
I would hesitate to buy another realink camera. I recently bought an eo2 pro so I could keep an eye on my dogs while I was working. The thought was to just have it open on my second screen but in a recent firmware update they disabled the http and https capabilities. Also no native Linux app so I could only use it on the app on my phone. I did find a github with all the firmware back ports but that behavior is pretty scummy imo
