This stuff hasn't been the cause of the recent outages. The admin did a Debian update a few days ago, and somehow the server is very unstable ATM. The entire server has been dying on us, so we can't even put up a static maintenance screen.
There is discord and matrix if you need to get in touch, linked in the sidebar. Unfortunately, as we are a very small team, we can't guarantee that notifications will be sent for unplanned outages, but we do try to send them for planned outages.
There is also a status page, but given it appears to be broken I won't link it :D
If you have any other solutions we'll be happy to consider them.

Fortunately, most of the visible stuff has been caught and purged quickly, so you may have just missed it.
The DM abuse is basically invisible except to the targets.
We don't want to do this kind of thing, we are being forced to, because bad actors keep using our server to send harassment.
If you know a better way to handle that, we are all ears
This community isn't specifically for programming related to AI, its just general "AI related news and articles" as per the side-bar.
You created this post in the general programming community. Discussions comparing JADEx to other languages are on-topic.
If you join another instance, you wont be subject to our filter. It is meant to prevent abuse, we have issues with new accounts abusing other users, and this is our only way to prevent it.
I have been manually undeleting the messages as I get to them, but it is a human process, so it takes time.
It's not capitalism.lemmy, it's programming.dev, your home instance. You are a new account, and subject to our profanity filter. Which you have been hitting frequently.
