Finished the final boss of Grime last week, trying to get the areas I missed before. Not sure I'll finish everything though, there's just way too much platforming in the end game 🤣 plus I already missed one of the endings.

Haven't figured out what to play next, but since I have about 50 unplayed games in my library, I'm sure I'll manage something.

I keep thinking about replaying Bloodborne or DS3. I've done a full playthrough and then some in each, but kept thinking about trying out different builds. A dex build for Bloodborne, some kind of caster for DS3. But I have a huge backlog so I have not started either.

I probably know hollow Knight's map the best, if that counts? Mostly because of the Metroidvania nature of it, but also because the limited nature of the fast travel. Similarly I got pretty familiar with DSR's map, but that was a long time ago. I was not that big on the game, so I never replayed it.

She's okay with them, she doesn't try to get rid of them, she goes up/ down stairs, walks and runs fine immediately, but she's a bit slower. We only tested for one forest walk, it's still early autumn weather here so she doesn't need them yet.

That's a wise choice. HK's platforming almost broke me, luckily I was able to get my boyfriend to do a lot of it. He gets easily frustrated with melee combat, but somehow he has endless patience with platforming. And good skills. I teach him the controls, hand him the controller, a few minutes later he gets past it.

Yes exactly! I live in Germany, some days in winter is cold enough that she tries to stand on three feet when we go out. They also use tiny rocks (I'm not sure what to call them) to increase grip on icy roads, I've been told that salt is used in some cases too.

I was inspired by the shoes sold by Dog Mocs, and wanted to make something similar for my dog. Went through a few iterations, starting from hand-drawn shape and glued-together fabric to a CAD-designed, 3d printed template and, of course, leather. Dog's name is Melody, she can walk and run almost like normal in these shoes, without them shifting around.

Next step is to parameterize the CAD design, try out different leathers (thinking goat and deer) and see if any of the neighbours with smaller dogs might be willing to let their dog be models.

The platforming didn't bother me much, even though I am pretty bad at platforming normally. Maybe it's because my expectations are different after I've played hollow knight and Silksong? My biggest frustration came from not knowing there are environmental signs pointing at bonfires and map beacons once I am close. I went through four of the beginning areas without a map lol

Original: In the previous post in the community it was pointed out that there really isn't a whole lot of relevant topics specific to the Netflix streaming service, so it may be a good idea to consolidate to !television@piefed.social , which is more active. What do you think?

TLDR: thinking about getting a new printer with a budget of maybe €1200, mostly for toys and hueforge. Preferably FOSS

I got an Ender 3 Pro three years ago as my first printer. Over the years I've printed plenty toys and some occasional functional parts, and it's been mostly pretty good. It's developed problems now and then, but I've been able to fix them.

I've recently played a bit with HueForge, it's this software that allows you to print really nice multicolour images by blending filament colours. This is doable by printing in super thin layers. It worked really well on the prusa mk4s at work, but not so much on my printer. Extrusion is just not consistent enough after swapping colours, or when there's a lot of retractions/deretractions.

I've gotten a bit tired of all the limitations the Ender 3 Pro has. I was looking at a Prusa mk4s with mmu3, since I enjoyed assembling the mk4 at work, and it's been working so well, even for the colleagues who don't know much about 3d printing. Although, for personal use, do I really want to pay the premium price for that level of reliability and longevity? A lot of budget brands do offer multi colour capable printers these days.

But I also feel pretty tempted to try building a Voron, and while I was looking at those I saw some IDEX printer that look so cool lol. And there's also the Enderwire that can make use of my old Ender 3 Pro...

    Please help.

Update: I went and ordered a QIDI Q1Pro. My partner and I agreed to get a Voron kit and build it together for Christmas, I'll figure out what multi-mterial system to go for after that. Hopefully the Bondtech INDX
