If Vaporeon qualifies despite its appearance because it evolved from something that was based on a fox, then Suicune shouldn't qualify despite its appearance because it's based on a leopard.

Also, I don't know what that Vulpix is from but they aren't blue (switch it for an Alolan one?). I'm guessing it's some fan-made sprite because it's sort of similar to a couple of real ones.

What about Sonic the Werehog? I'm pretty sure they meant wolfhog.

What a strange petition. I loved Mass Effect, but forcing EA to make more of them when they don't have any of the talent from nearly two decades ago does not interest me at all. Even if it were a recent title, I'd take a spiritual successor from some of the same team over whatever shit EA would put out 10 times out of 10.

I play so many shop sims, everything from normal simulators like Supermarket Sim to fantasy dungeon crawlers like Fell & Sell or Moonlighter to gimmicky ones like The Walking Trade, I have never found one that I enjoyed as much as Recettear. It's a hard act to follow.

    Congratulations on passing your exams!

Elden Ring is one of the games I've been playing to try to get used to my Steam Controller, so I might hop in for more of that if I can find some time. I'm trying something new and swapping between the whip and... Reduvia? The bleed dagger you get from an invader. I kinda hate them both, every previous playthrough has been with a big, heavy, slow weapon. I don't know off the top of my head what kind of build I need for that pizza cutter thing, but maybe I'll start heading that way. I'm really early so I could just restart if I need to I guess.

Honestly, I found many hundreds of hours of Monster Hunter to be absolutely no help when I played my first Soulslike. I tried to play it like I would MH and got destroyed constantly until I forced myself to forget what I thought I knew and let the game teach me its own way. I just got the new Steam Controller, so I've been playing a bunch of games to try to get used to it because I really loved the old model. I don't know if it's just a case of needing to get used to the camera movement or if I'm super rusty, but my most recent journey into Wilds was rough. I want to keep playing a little bit now and then to keep my skills up for the upcoming expansion, but I'm still a bit burned out on it. Always happens with this series.

I've been replaying Batman. I'm still plodding along with challenge maps for achievements alongside the story modes. Asylum is completely done, City has Robin and Nightwing to go plus most of NG+, Origins I'm partway through the story and it's still my favourite, haven't touched challenge maps yet, Knight I only need to do 4 more maps but they're really tough ones, I'll probably still be beating my head against them when I finish the Origins story and start this one. I've also started a separate replay of the series alongside my normal replay so that my GF can see it all and I can infodump on her the whole time (don't worry, this arrangement goes both ways, she got me though about 9999 hours of Lord of the Rings movies and cartoons and books first).

We also got through Luca in Final Fantasy X. I won the tournament, she lost. We're treating this the same way we watch TV series and overanalysing everything as we go, really digging into characterisation and whatnot. For such an old game with relatively primitive models and animations it's still surprisingly in-depth, there's a lot going on that I never picked up on in the past.

Replaying Metal Gear Solid V. It still rules.

Finally, the only new thing on this whole list, I am obsessed with janky, kind of shitty business sims because I love watching them grow and being able to interact with the devs, and it's nice having a small community mostly free of anti-woke bullshit. I'm currently into Car Dealer Simulator. I don't know if I could really recommend it to normal people, but I'm having a great time.

After beating the game I tried to go back a couple of times to work on a megafactory that output all of the project parts and was designed to be traversable in a truck with a petrol station on every floor, but I burned out after the first few floors. I've started a few games since then both with and without gimmicks but it was never really the same because I'd design things with an end goal in mind rather than letting it all grow organically, and that really killed it for me. This is definitely one of those games that I wish I could erase from my memory so I could reexperience it properly.

This is done with a fictional language in the first Nier game. You spend the whole time slaughtering hordes of enemies, but then new game+ gives them subtitles and makes you do it all again with context. It's grim.

I need the updates. My apartment door is a few minutes and a card-locked lift ride away from the street, even if they could get to me I wouldn't expect anyone to go that far. It's not like I could just note the estimated delivery time and be ready for that, I've had more punctual doctor's appointments than the average food delivery.

About 15 years ago when I was at my most depressed and least healthy, I used to get 3 pizzas every weekend (Saturday dinner, Sunday lunch, Sunday dinner) because that worked out as the cheapest deal. One week I only got a single pizza and the delivery guy commented on it, just something small like "Oh only one today?" I never got Dominos again.
