Rupert Murdoch
It gets much worse:
Ivanka Trump was reportedly in attendance at Murdoch’s party. A source told People that she was “cheering [Jackman] on” as he performed.”
While promoting his 2018 film “The Front Runner,” Jackman told Variety that his longtime friendship with Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, was not a reflection of his political values.

Correction: the 1 to 3 trillion fishing industry figure estimated in 2010, has now been improved and the 2024 estimate (excluding unrecorded capture such as illegal fishing, discards, etc.) is 1.1 to 2.2 trillion wild finfishes caught annually. https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/animal-welfare/article/estimating-global-numbers-of-fishes-caught-from-the-wild-annually-from-2000-to-2019/83F1B933E8691F3A552636620E8C7A01
More than half of seafood eaten comes from factory farms rather than directly from the fishing industry. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2026/10/08/magazine/farm-raised-fish-aquaculture-overfishing.html
See the links to Dominion and Earthlings for dairy, fur, etc. factory farming.
The dairy industry regularly puts cows on what the factory farmers call "rape racks", because the cows have to regularly give birth in order to constantly produce milk (mammals produce milk after giving birth). These cows are "used up" so quickly on factory farms, that they live only about 20% as long as unfarmed cows. Watch for free Dominion (or download) and Earthlings.
Dairy farms somehow managed to become more cruel than the chicken and fur industry (the latter sometimes skin animals alive because killing them damages the fur, or anally electrocutes them).
The worst 2 industries when it comes to the total amount of pain caused are:

The majority did and do, tho the majority weren't allowed to vote until 1994! (Only whites were allowed to vote [except for a sham tricameral system since 1984 for mixed-race people and people of Indian decent].)
Nelson Mandela was released from jail in 1990.
Musk emigrated to Canada in 1989, and went to Pennsylvania in 1992.
While Musk is a narcissistic, psychotic, white supremacist (supporter of Republicans, televised nazi salutes at Trump victory party, AfD and similar support in many other countries, lying about a white genocide in South Africa, ...), and there were signs in South Africa that the Apartheid regime were having trouble with the growing international boycotts against it, it's not clear Musk left because Mandela's ANC and other anti-apartheid organizations were to be unbanned soon. He probably did it knowing that in the USA psychotic, omnicidal greed is rewarded, and ethical behavior is punished.
Side note: In 2009, the majority of South African voters elected, and later re-elected their own Trump-lite narcissistic, psychotic, openly corrupt, racist president: Jacob Zuma. His party eventually prepared a motion-of-no-confidence against Zuma, so Zuma resigned.

lowest socioeconomic demographic
What's the difference between "poor people" and "lowest socioeconomic demographic"? Is "economic sociology" an important difference when it's used instead of "poor", or is it part of the euphemism treadmill for places where "poor" is now a taboo word?
