I am so sorry for the duplicate posting. At first I couldn't mark my post as NSFW via feddit.uk and had to delete the original post. Then I posted it via lemmy.ca, but couldn't see it. Apparently lemmy.ca will let me post NSFW and tag it, but not let me see it - even in my own profile. So I ended up posting it twice because I thought it didn't go through the first time. So I can't even delete my duplicate. What a mess.

I haven't sought any assessment for this stuff, but I have my hunches. So I don't know if this is a thing, but every single time I appear clean and normally dressed, saying things that are agreeably sane and charming, and not talking about one topic at length or being super quiet, it is always because I have decided it is necessary.

My kid usually seems so bright and sharp. Then out of nowhere he says the most unglued, brain-dead shit I've ever heard, and I need a second to mentally pull over, throw out some road flares, change to snow tires, and assess survival provisions. I probably make that face the whole time, before I remember to smile sweetly.

This is a playable race in a game I've been developing. I like the premise, but the overall impression feels lacking to me. Mythians come from elves in this story, which are more like cenobites than fairies (taking cues from Pratchett's Lords and Ladies but hyperbolically so, until you're more into Gwar territory). They've renounced horrific madness and cosmic power. It's got a lot going for it, but I'm not happy with how "simple" and just-so it all feels. Any help?

I have been seeing Lab MPs resigning, and articles calling for more of them to do so, and calling "a vote for Labour a vote for genocide". Nothing I've read explains why resignation is the preferred strategy, and it's not very clear to me how it helps. What do they hope to achieve by resigning, and am I wrong in thinking that these resignations only play into the hands of Conservatives? Sorry, I'm very naive about UK politics generally and I don't get how this isn't pointlessly self destructive.

Acknowledged that there are appalling things happening, in Gaza and with the party leadership, but I'm interested in learning the logic for this specific response.
