As a non-american, while the mid-term results make me feel good, and seeing all the various moves to "right the ship" is great, the fact that so much trust, which much of the world treated as foundational in many ways, was so easily broken in the first place, is what I feel gives the rest of the world pause. It's a basic fact that breaking trust is easy, building it is way harder, and SOOOOO much trust was broken globally by the Trump administration.

I'm hopeful, but I do agree that building trust back is gonna be a multi-generational thing and quite likely, people are going to put more systems in place to never HAVE to trust another nation as much as much of the world used to trust the US. I do believe some things were irevocably broken, but that doesn't meant things can't get better.

I haven't done too much research into it, but there is the Swiss Apertus AI which is part of the Swiss AI initiative. It claims to be "fully open" and "responsible at scale". They've partnered with Proton/Lumo for opt-in training. Maybe worth looking into?

Wasn't a huge fan of the move to 3D animation but it wasn't all bad. Movies like The Mitchell's VS The Machines and Klaus show that 3D animation can have a ton of soul and style. Think the problem is most corporate studios just failing at making good stories / art most of the time in pursuit of the lowest common denominator.

That said, fuck AI slop. Soulless by definition

I imagine what you normally do to prevent poop particles should be fine. Also I believe most people wear underwear under bike shorts? I cycle almost daily but just wear regular clothes or gym clothes so not entirely sure with padded bike shorts.

Also, having grown up all my life with bidets and "bum guns", it never hurts to clean down there with some water and soap anyway.

I haven't been watching much in terms of actual shows for a good while, then while listening to a podcast a host casually mentioned they had rewatched Chernobyl, how it still holds up, that there's a reason it got as much acclaim as it did, etc. So I thought I'd give it a go and wow, loved it (still one episode left to watch).

Had me thinking, what else have I missed out on? What are some "absolute cinema" TV shows that still hold up and and are considered must watch?
