For a corporation there is literally no other definition of success unless it's financial. And if they are presented with a choice to make money or do the "right" thing they are legally obligated to choose money because share holder value takes priority

Yes. Netflix isn't buying it because they believe it's good. It's always business and it's good business (at least it was) to be involved in maga money. Look at Melania movie. Doesn't make sense at all to exist.

I pay $3-4k more in taxes when I file with my wife. I get $2k per kid as a deduction. Married costs me. I get a little back for kids. But $2k is one month of daycare per child.

So... No. No special treatment. I don't get more sick days when my kids are sick. I don't get less work because I have children. I don't get easier projects because I'm a father. Whatever special treatment you think we parents are getting is delusional.

Well for starters most residential outlets are rated for 15 amps. You don't need to run a lot of stuff on that outlet, a vacuum and a space heater is most likely enough for the outlet to overheat. Toss in an extension cord and another appliance and the outlet is going to melt. And since you're only pulling like 25 amps once the short happens when the live parts touch each other the arc explosion would be spectacular. Since you're on a 500 amp switch gear breaker with selective coordination set in a way that not only is the outlet done, but the wiring I'm assuming is not ran to the outlet in 600kcm copper, so all the wiring from the outlet to the breaker is also going up in vapor. By the time the breaker trips your house just went through a neat fireworks show and it's ablaze.

Hey guys I am planning to do my own solar and am looking into some kits and prices. I was quoted $22k for a 7.4kw system but I'm thinking of doing a 12.7kw one myself without the bloat of a loan and contractor install.

The problem I'm currently having is trying to pair up a premium panel with Enphase microinverter. I see that REC is highly regarded as one of the best, but the REC 420 is only compatible with the IQ8X which together will run me over 14k for just the panels and inverters, let alone the rest of the infrastructure. But the REC 400 is compatible with the IQ8A.

Suntansolar has some pretty nice kits, one of which has the ZNshine 410's that run a little longer but I should have the space, as well as the Iq8a micros. But I'm not familiar with that brand.

Does anyone have experience with a good combo set of panels and inverters? I think generally the consensus has been that microinverters are the way to go.
