Some people are born psychopaths. They look like normal people but they’re not. They don’t feel remorse or guilt for anything they do. They see other people as resources to exploit. They cannot be taught not to think this way because their brains lack the capacity to feel the wrongness of their actions.

At lot more than some. 62 million people (edit: visited a porn website, and the video in question has 20.000 views) and I assume it would be safe to say, mainly men

Not trying to defend the website or the people who access it but the article says they are a porn website that host "any legal porn content" so I assume the 62 million number is a site wide number not the specific niche

It's a miracle women still have relationships with any man. As a girl Dad, I almost would prefer her to be lesbian instead of ever dating a guy

Is there a vigilante academy that teaches people how to investigate and expose rapists so their lives are the ones getting destroyed? Because I can get behind that.

Step three (the first step involving gaining skills) is pretty brutal. Then step 4 is just an extension of step 1 but requires even more luck when already only 0.1% manage step 1. Step 5 and beyond aren't very fun either.

In fact I think the only real fun part, other than the general satisfaction from a job well done, involves a cat suit, and even that is a pretty mixed bag. Stock up on disinfectant and bandaids.

    What I was thinking:

    1. Be born to a wealthy family.
    2. Parents shot in front of you.
    3. Take off and get trained by ninjas.
    4. Return to a company still running well and not stolen from you while you were gone that also has an advanced military prototyping division.
    5. Practice with these new weapons/tools until you can competently use them in uneven battles against people trying to kill you while you do your best to avoid killing them.
    6. Now go out and fight those battles while keeping your identity secret because no matter how good you get at being Batman, you're still vulnerable to any situation where your opponents have planned more than you have (eg every ambush and surprise attack).

Same thing happens to people all the time. They'll send a report and take in evidence that they don't let go of. The problem is that the frequency has totally desensitized and saturated the justice system.

It's about dominance, it's not that the sex doesn't bring pleasure it's that sex without dominance (i.e. sex that isn't rape) does not bring pleasure (at least that's always been my interpretation, I'm not a rapist so I could just be wrong).

If you think you have been drugged or spiked, seek help immediately, tell a trusted person and go to the hospital or call emergency services.

Oh, which trusted person? Not that one. A rando on the street is more trustworthy than the person who said they'd care for you until your dying day.

On a Telegram group chat. In other words, in plain text on a popular social network.

Regulators, take note about how encryption isn't preventing you from finding crimes. (As if the Epstein emails weren't enough evidence.)

They're probably assuming the chats aren't encrypted because telegram doesn't encrypt those. Source

    Multi-device End-to-end encrypted chats are a mess

The concept of End-to-End Encryption has no limits for the number of communicating devices. However, if you want to access your end-to-end encrypted chats from multiple devices, you’re facing many technical difficulties, especially when it comes to connecting new devices, loading chat history and restoring backups.

Most of our competitors (notably, Whatsapp and iMessage) solve these problems in ways that make their end-to-end encryption useless (this is a big topic, so requires a separate manual [poster note, that link goes to a 'manual' that hasn't been filled out lol]). To solve them in a secure way, you’d have to sacrifice usability and some of the features you’re used to – the result would never be as fluent and simple as what we offer in Cloud Chats.

Telegram says they don't encrypt them and tries to imply that people who actually know how to use cryptography failed to solve this problem because they couldn't solve it with their shitty self rolled 'encryption' algo that hasn't been peer reviewed (unlike the signal protocol)

These crimes are always about power and control, not about sex. I think a part of it comes from feeling powerless (or having felt powerless long ago) in other areas of life. This is obviously no excuse and absolutely abhorrent behavior, but as we can read in the article these men will walk the streets again after a few years, so psychotherapy for them should be mandatory, with their sentences extended if the therapist thinks it's necessary to prevent further victims.

That's some fucked up shit right there.

Like, I don't kink shame, but there's a line. That line is where consent occurs, period. Someone that's drugged can't consent, and of equal importance, can't withdraw consent. So there's really no good way to explore that kink except by role play alone. Even that, you damn well don't do it without a shit ton of check ins.

But those shitstains? Like it or not, a partnership comes with a default assumption that you have each other's backs. You don't betray that, ever. Rape is bad enough. Drugging and raping your partner is stacking horror on horror in a way that makes me question my belief that the death penalty shouldn't exist. Some things are just so vile that anyone doing them can not be trusted to be anything other than vile in all ways.

makes me question my belief that the death penalty shouldn’t exist

Don't know if you're interested in my perspective but here it is anyway. Some people shouldn't ever be allowed to live in society again (Bundy, GSK, BTK) and the death penalty can be the most efficient and effective method of ensuring the they never do. In an ideal world where there is perfect justice the death penalty can be justified. We don't live in an ideal world. In practice governments execute a lot of innocent people. Governments also allow the death penalty to creep (if you can execute serial killers and mass murders then why not someone who's only killed one person, then why not people who tried but failed to kill someone, then chronic violent offenders, then chronic non violent offenders...) Governments don't apply the death penalty evenly or fairly, in particular race and socioeconomic status play a significant role in sentencing decisions. Governments view it as punishment which allows them to justify inhumane execution methods to themselves.

So, in my view, the death penalty can be morally justified but should never exist because governments can't be trusted with it.

    I'm right with you.

My objection is the same. It isn't so much that it's never the right answer, it's making sure it only gets applied in those cases, and making sure there's no way possible that the verdict could have been wrong in the first plans

Of course, the reason most governments can't be trusted with handling rapists is because they are Capitalist governments, who are of course run by rapists, and then war-profiteers, slave-owners, fascists, and their ilk. In my opinion, tho there is harm reduction to be done as well, the solution is to take after Lenin and Mao and make an organization similar to theirs.

Instances of sexual harassment and violence against women have increased sharply. In Russia, the number of women murdered annually--primarily by husbands and boyfriends--skyrocketed from 5,300 to 15,000 in the first three years of the free-market paradise [used sarcastically]. In 1994, an additional 57,000 women were seriously injured in such assaults. These official figures understate the level of violence. The Communist party committees that used to intervene in cases of domestic abuse no longer exist.

Women also are being recruited in unprecedented numbers for the booming sex industry that caters to foreign and domestic businessmen. Unable to find employment in the professions for which they originally were trained, many highly educated Russian and Eastern European women go abroad to work as prostitutes.

Actually, considering this quote, a lot is starting to add up with seemingly random countries. Poland was indeed the countries mentioned in Parenti's book that, as he reported, had skyrocketing CSAM trading as well as sex crimes in general. Then, the first country mentioned in the article was a man from Poland.

The one solace I find in this world is that I can piece things together well.

Rapists absolutely deserve to be killed. In a revolution this would be done for certain. Unfortunately, governments run by Capitalists will not enforce this rule; even if they list out in a legal code that someone who sexually assaults a woman should be punished with death, rich financiers will find ways to fool people, or evade laws, or get light sentences.

The world of the bourgeoisie does not even spare children, forcing young girls of nine and ten into the sordid embraces of wealthy and depraved old men. In the capitalist countries there are brothels which specialise exclusively in very young girls. In this present post-war period every woman faces the possibility of unemployment. Unemployment hits women in particular, and causes an enormous increase in the army of “street women”. Hungry crowds of women seeking out the buyers of “white slaves” flood the evening streets of Berlin. Paris and the other civilised centres of the capitalist states. The trade in women’s flesh is conducted quite openly, which is not surprising when you consider that the whole bourgeois way of life is based on buying and selling.

The difference is when pornhub got in trouble they significantly changed how they moderate the site. Also I didn't say we "don't bother checking" I said we have no way of knowing on motherless. Those two things are very different. I can check and reverse image search and look for existing pornstars/of models but if it's only posted to motherless and it's some amateur porn, because of the poor moderation, there's a significantly higher chance that it is non consensual content. I'm just not willing to take on that type of liability.
