So France is now openly pro-tifa. What's that short for again? Oh. Right. Fascist.

Holy shit. I'm glad I don't need anything in France.

I mean it should be obvious to anyone with a pulse and two neurons to rub together but most fascists don’t meet that second stipulation

That is not a new development. As an American, I know that my people sometimes think of the French as left-wing generally, but there are very strong reactionary elements in their society.

Fascists are getting annoyingly bold in their anti-anti-fascist activity. I guess they’re feeling pretty confident about their position in power. Are there any major anti-fascist power groups to stand up against them at this point?

I love how a European country does a fascist thing on its own and you still find a way to blame America.

I mean, you have to be living under a rock not to realize how Russia is manipulating it along with other countries. Didn't a bunch of Twitter accounts JUST get unmasked? Does the US manipulate the EU directly like that to even make your comparison?

Europeans have been too busy pointing and laughing at America to notice their own countries quietly following suit.

Don’t worry. In France people have been calling macron fascist sympathiser and pointing out draconian laws very much past few years.

Lemmy isn’t very representative of anything and tends to overly focus on US Drama.

No way. I'm willing to bet the American government had something to do with it. Didn't they recently declared antifa as a terrorist organization?

The French government just seems to live for giving their people reasons to protest.
