It always starts this way. Then it’s a joke. Then it’s real.

Epstein files. He’s in them.

And then, when the day comes, he'll invoke the oldest legal theory of "Try and stop me"

States run their own elections, and they won't put him on their ballots. Maybe some would, but most would not.

Thing is, they had legitimate reason to exclude him from the ballot after Jan 6. The Supreme Court said no, and the states all gave in.

The Colorado situation was always going to be an uphill battle. How do you envision this happening? Federal goons going into every swing state and forcing him onto their ballots? And then people proceeding to vote in a candidate they know shouldn't be on there?

Republicans have a primary, Trump wins overwhelmingly, some blue state sues and it goes to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court says "Sure, the Constitution explicitly forbids this, but we can't just disenfranchise all those republican primary voters" and rules 5-4 that he must be allowed on the ballot.

Some blue states that wouldn't have voted for him anyway try and keep him off, and maybe succeed, but nobody really cares about those. Red states include him without a fuss, and a very well funded and organized pressure campaign to get Trump on the ballot takes place in every purple state.

If he wins, GG, if he loses, it's Jan 6th 2 Electric Boogaloo.

Bang. That’s the way it could feasibly play out.

I’m trying to think of other possible justifications that the Supreme Court could use. Could they possibly nullify or neuter the 22nd Amendment? What justification could they use based on historical precedent, which the Heritage Foundation members cling to so tightly?

Could they just delay, delay, delay until making a decision after the election, then citing said election as precedent?

I am not familiar with the majority opinion in Trump v Anderson which must have laid out the legal reasoning why the Supreme Court was able to keep Trump on the ballot. It looks like it uses a clause in the fourteenth amendment to simply devolve the decision making power which seems to be an effective dodge and deflection to political winds.

Wait, he's admitting that rules apply to him? Shit, he really is about to die, isn't he?

Sowmthing fishy about him admitting something. He's not gonna let go of power that easy.

And then he'll pull the same stunt he did in 2020.

He won't run cause there won't be an election; he just won't leave.

"I guess I think it's too cute," referring to a scenario under which the person elected president would step aside so he could take over. "Yeah, I would rule that out because it's too cute. I think the people wouldn't like that. It's too cute. It's not -- it wouldn't be right."

Adjusting for sociolectical differences in our usage of “cute,” I’ve never agreed with him more.

"I have my highest poll numbers that I've ever had"

I was going to say "low bar" but it's not even true from that perspective:

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/saradorn/2025/10/29/trump-approval-rating-hits-second-term-low-in-latest-poll-despite-his-claims-of-highest-numbers-ever/

"Oct. 29 -19 net approval rating: Trump’s approval rating dipped to a second-term low of 39% in Economist/YouGov polling, while 58% disapprove of his job performance in the survey taken Oct. 24-27 among 1,623 U.S. adults (margin of error 3.5).

Trump’s net approval rating in the poll is also lower than all but one Economist/YouGov survey taken during his first term."

He 100% will try to stop legal elections so his addled ass can continue to stink up the WH.

He doesn't have to run. He can just declare an emergency and cancel the election.

He cannot "cancel the election." States run elections, not the federal government.

And the states that don't cancel will have militaries from trump supporting states come in and occupy the state to either cancel the election or scare everyone into their homes/arrest the ones that break emergency curfew to vote.

  • I dunno dude. The big gangs in town are the norteños and sureños. Last election, when conservative "poll watchers" thought they'd start shit, it was the gangs dealing with it not the police. Never seen them come together like this.

you "epstein files" people are getting obnoxious. no one cares. he is convicted and sentenced rapist, he is credibly accused of raping a child and he publicly brags about grabbing them by the pussy, he publicly creeps out about wanting to fuck his own daughter - and PEOPLE STILL ELECTED HIM. what do you think would happen if the files were released? FUCKING NOTHING.

so stop acting like it is more important than the fact he is dismantling democracy on live tv. i fucking swear at this point the BuT ThE EpStEiN FiLeS! is starting to look more and more like a russian influence operation.

Trump has convinced people that those were all fake as soon as it came out, Epstein is the real pedo, and something something Clinton Biden something. Only problem is, he diverted his followers' attention so much to Epstein that they believe it's real (as they should). So now that they're trying to say it's a big nothingburger after all, people can't do that 180 and finding out Trump is implicated would be much different than that "always fake" E Jean Carroll story.

I honestly think he's pushed the Epstein stuff enough, and society hates pedophilia enough, that that is one of the few things that could obliterate his support and get enough Rs on board for impeachment (not to mention potential prosecution for anything he's found to have done)

Nah the Rs will stay on the Trump wagon and just start raping kids in the street. I guarantee it. These people have shown their colors.

Probably even make a constitutional amendment.

I would argue that the Epstein files is a threat of democracy. There is a sizeable part of the elite class was alllowed to committ heinous crimes against vulnerable victims. These people will never face justice as long as the Epstein files are confidential.

You can't have a three tier justice system in a democractic system. First tier, is "Fuck you, you're going to jail forever", second tier is "We're going to slap you on the wrist, don't do it again." Third tier is "Don't worry, you'll never be held responsible".

A functional democracy needs to have a functional justice system.

A functional democracy needs to have a functional justice system.

    i completely agree with this.

but i do not believe that release of the epstein files, whatever that is, would result in this optimal state of affairs. and you shouldn't believe it either - it would be released by his own fucking administration, what do you think would happen? you think they would implicate themselves?

i do however believe that it is a distraction from the fact that he just tore down half of the the white house, that he uses army and ice to lead war on american people, that he is building concentration camps and that he is working towards nullification of the next elections.

I want him to keep threatening to run in ‘28. As long as daddy is saying he’s going to run, the sycophants who want to claim the throne won’t dare to run against him.

The Democratic candidate should be able to walk across the finish line (assuming we still have elections in 2028 and all that).

His friends control the media and now the polling machines and poll rosters as well.

Even if there was an election, everything's made up and the points won't matter.

Remember Bush v Gore? The Brooks Brothers Riot?

    Remember Jan 6?

Go ahead and challenge the election in his kangaroo court and see how that goes.

There is no way in hell a free and fair election is happening in 2028. Get used to it now, or do something to change it.

Remember he promised his followers, they "wouldn't have to vote anymore"..?

There isn't going to BE any 2028 election.

He'd rather machine-gun millions of US citizens down, than tolerate to lose his dream.
