This actually works, whenever I scold at people for thinking mean thoughts at me. They ALWAYS respond agressively. Didnt know there was a word for it, Thanks!
That sounds less like an empath and more like a cop. They know everything you're thinking within 5 seconds
Until you spend an entire life consciously having to process emotions and you're right more often than not.
I sort of have this... but its not supernatural.
It's just my autistic quirk of adopting personality traits of people around me... I've heard it called Chameleoning
I got my super power from an abusive childhood 😎
The problem with chameleoning is that it sometimes takes a while to calibrate when meeting a stranger for the first time, so you’re just confused. It can also be overwhelming when meeting with multiple strangers at the same time.
"I'm an empath" a.k.a. I'm so stupid that I think reading body language requires supernatural powers
Or you have bpd.
Obviously not "you" as in the commenter I'm responding to
As far as I've been told, that's an extension of their inability to regulate emotions. They aren't more in tune with other's emotions, but rather, their emotional responses to other's emotions is stronger than the average person.
People with bpd aren't sensing other people's emotions more, they are reacting to it more due to their dysregulation.
Until you look at the news and get depressed af then misuse your medications trying to keep the sadness under control
As someone with extremely u!usual emotional reactions: i love this shit. It's so cool and good.
And if you argue agaibst it, for any other model of compassion, you're just a monster.
Hey now, nobody is perfect.
i never understood this meme until it got fleshed out by a person instead of a drawing.
like, in what sort of mind does a chad hold this sort of posture and, even if they did, wouldn't that make them bizarre and off putting? lol
i still don't get the tights, though; i was always under the impression that straight and neurotypical people thought that tights were strange.
Seems to just be a capture mid-movement of a dance
i wondered if it was that too, but it would have to be a ballet dancer since those are probably the only dancers that the straight/neutrotypical people wouldn't think are odd for dancing in tights.
but that doesn't seem to work because ballet dancers aren't typically the people think of when they think "chad"; atleast not so to me in my middle aged mindset.
Don't mind me, I'm just frantically extrapolating thoughts and feelings like it's a perpetual Death Note episode or an Ace Attorney chapter...
That's not how empathy works, but good for you...
Are you trying to shame people who are empathic?
