I thought it came from Erehwon. The fucken story the name comes from kinda fucken sucks and is filled with chud shit. I mean Butler can sure as hell describe like a late 1800s countryside thats for sure. But reading an entire book where everyone's names are just backwards Robinson's (Nosnibor) literally killed it. The swapped values were cool, the reveal where the name came from is like a throwaway line that was kind of a disappointment for me. I simply thought there was a robot uprising book from Samuel Butler and thats not the case.
