Is 10210U supposed to be slow? (lemmy.ml)

Just got an used t14 gen 1 for 300 bucks. I got fedora with kde on it but its so slow compared to my desktop. Start menu opens with a 1 second delay, even sometimes youtube videos stutter. (good wifi)

I am using it on batter and balanced by the way

It shouldn't be that slow. Have you checked the temperature and clock speeds under load to make sure it's not thermal throttling?

    My t490 in Fedora Gnome goes just fine. Similar load and launch speeds to the bloated win 11 Dell Latitudes we use at work with Core Ultra 7's. Something isn't right.
