Hi, I've been exploring the area around Seattle on my dual-sport for a couple of years and I have a decent number of dirt routes that I have found, but I run into locked gates more often than not. So, I was wondering if there are any other dual-sport or ADV riders that would want to share where to find good dirt to ride.

I'm not really looking for crazy single-track enduro stuff, but I'm not against some more technical riding, especially if it gets somewhere interesting. I typically ride forest roads (FS-## and NF-##) and explore the "closed" branch roads and trails off those networks. Unfortunately a ton of those roads are gated (mostly by logging companies I think), and that isn't usually clear when looking at a map. I try my best to figure out if a road is open with a combination of OsmAnd, Gaia GPS, and Google Maps satellite view, but still hit gates most of the time. I'm hoping to share what I have learned, and pick up some new tips and options from other Seattle area riders.

So if you want to share good dirt rides in the Seattle area, please leave a comment or send me a DM.

While I don't know specific trails in the Seattle area, I always Trail Forks (https://www.trailforks.com/). When I still lived in Seattle, I loved going out to Asahel Curtis off I-90. Lots of great riding there. Hope that helps.
