You are the poster child for liberal brain rot. NO ONE but you said anything about Russia. You are defending US imperialism and it's right wing tactics.

The reason to bring up NATO is because it's the military alliance of the world's imperial core. Imperialism, as Marxists understand it, is an economic process by which the oppressed nations are fleeced of the bulk of their surplus value. Europe, the US, and the rest of the imperialist powers perform this process through domination of monopoly finance capital, and enforce it through the hundreds of NATO military bases around the world (typically US, but also European).

So wild to see almost nothing but downvotes on this one. You'd think this sentiment would appeal to the majority of leftists

This is a community hosted on Lemmy.world, which is predominantly social democratic/neoliberal. The limit to reformism is a genuine belief that existing systems are essentially sound, but just need some tweaks or expansions, like a social safety net. They do not consider the actual reasons why systems like NATO exist. It's also why they often don't believe Europe is imperialist, because to them imperialism is a violent action you loudly take, and not the pilfering of the surplus value of developing nations.
