How about "Just don't get an abortion"? No?

That stance will only ever resonate with those of us who already agree with you. Dumbasses liken abortion to murder - which it's not - so they basically hear you calling for murder to be legalized and to leave it to the individual to decide whether or not it's okay to murder.

You will not change their minds on this, because they think it's part of their religion. Which is also incorrect, at least if we're talking about Christians (no idea on the others). IIRC abortion is mentioned in the bible twice: once is basically accidental, dude injures a pregnant woman in a way that causes her to miscarry... and the biblical punishment for such a heinous crime? He owed her a fine. The second mention is a fucking how-to guide; dude thinks his wife is pregnant because she cheated on him, so he's instructed to make poison by collecting shit off the temple floor and forcing his wife to drink it. If she miscarries, then she cheated! Burn the witch! If she doesn't miscarry, then the kid is his.

Pretty sure that's it. There's the christian take on abortion. 'Course, we all know the culture surrounding christianity doesn't actually adhere to its own lore. If some preacher hears Fox say it's a mortal sin, then I tell you h'what, that thar's a gosh darn sin!

For argument sake, my thought would be redirect that shit and liken it instead to triage. "Sure, that clump is a human, why not, but so is mom, and when shit hits the fan, mom takes priority" but... I'd guess even that approach is a waste of breath. They won't hear it.

Which is also incorrect, at least if we’re talking about Christians (no idea on the others). IIRC abortion is mentioned in the bible twice:

I believe both those stories are from the "old" testament, which three of the Abrahamic religions include as part of their canon, so that would be Christians, Jews, and Muslims.

LOL, this should be the guiding principle that people need to tell people, especially those prone to conservative mindsets, and tell them all their lives, starting in kindergarten.

Don't like atheism? Don't be one. Same goes for being Wiccan/Muslim/Catholic/Mormon/Jewish, etc. Don't want an abortion? Don't get one. Don't like university? Okay, don't go. Don't like men having sex with each other? Okay, you probably were not invited anyway.

And so on....but reiterate that you don't get to interfere with others' choices. Do this from childhood.

I've never been to a drag show and it's not really on my bucket list, either....but if others want to go, that's their choice. These busybody Karens need to find something constructive to do with their time.

“Oh wait, they’re not actually forcing our kids to be drag queens?”

Can we also get, “Oh hey, the schools and other public outlets aren’t turning untold millions of our children queer?”

How about, “Teaching kids about evolution and slavery doesn’t make them hate white and religious people?” (Well okay, maybe they’d be a bit distrustful when they hear the truth)

    Teaching kids about evolution

Most of the conservatives really do want to roll back all of the Enlightenment, and probably keep the Internet and smart phones and other modern conveniences (for themselves, mostly).

The idea of getting at the truth really does offend them, I think. Just look at how they argue about things, how they now attack facts ("alternative facts", for instance) and science and education.

They can't, because it doesn't exist. Most states have restrictions on genital exposure in strip clubs. No way any drag shows are going that far, especially since they usually occur in bars or clubs.

I’ve been to at least a dozen drag shows and there was zero sexual acts or genitalia exposed at any of them.

You have never been to one. Clearly.

You’re just here to throw your feces at people and stir up a bunch of emotions, because you’re a fucking sociopath who in my opinion shouldn’t be allowed to mingle with society at all.

One day humanity is going to realize that because stress causes physical damage to the brain and body, psychological assault is a real thing and should be a crime just like physical assault.

If your goal is to hurt people, I don’t give a fuck if it’s physical or mental. You should not be allowed to just decide to hurt people. For any reason.

You should be in a cage.

I have been to one once. I have photo and video evidence if you'd like me to share. It was in an 18+ bar and there was no nudity. Drag shows are entirely about crossdressing, not stripping.

Show any example where there was a drag show at a child friendly event, and if you happen to pull that off, show any example where they showed there genitals. You can't, because that doesn't happen.

You have know idea what the fuck you're talking about, or you do and you're arguing in bad faith and just being a bigot.

Fair enough. But they're trying to block explicitly sexual performances, which drag shows aren't. They're not putting these on in public parks, but even if they did, it should still be allowed for dudes to put on dresses and dance.

Anyone that shows there genitals in public spaces, especially to children, should be reprimanded. That's not what's happening here. This is a law veiled in "protect the children" but it's just targeted bigotry.

Drag shows don't show genitals, and strip shows do. I'm not sure how you haven't picked this up yet. Everyone else has. When everyone but you agrees on something, maaaaybe the problem is you. That would take introspection, which I'm not sure you posses, but really try for a minute. I assure you, your life will be better once your not filled with as much hate.

Just to be clear of the three drag shows you've allegedly went to, that you were disgusted enough that you couldn't have that filth in your phone, how many genitals did you see? Was it just the third time or did you get a hankering to go back after the first?

    1. They do. I'm not sure how you haven't picked this up yet.
    2. They haven't done it at the one I've been to. But unlike you, my perception of the entire planet isn't built on my personal experiences. We have these things called photographs that are able to document moments in time.

When everyone but you agrees on something, maaaaybe the problem is you

But they don't. Again, the Threadiverse is not the entirety of reality.

Link to literally any picture of a drag show with nudity. You claim we have all of these photos to document moments in time, so time to nut up or shut up. Don't worry I'll wait.

When the only people that agree with you are conservatives that support a rapist pedophile, and everything they preach is fabricated, you're the baddie.

I guarantee you can't back up any of your claims. It's all bullshit fear mongering under the guise of child protection. You and your kind continually have this fucked of fixation with kids, and coincidentally, are the demographic of people that keep getting busted with CP or pedophilia.

This is already illegal. Allowing drag shows doesn't make it legal. Banning drag shows wouldn't make it more illegal. If you think kid friendly drag shows are regularly exposing children to genitalia you are grossly misinformed. The basic premise of a drag show is about hiding their genitals.

"Second hand smoke" is the smoke inhaled by people nearby a smoker. This has been found to be nearly as harmful as smoking. This means that parents who smoke around their children are harming them.

I sarcastically joked about "second hand drag shows". There is obviously no such thing. If someone goes to a drag show, it doesn't harm other people. This means your comparison between smoking and drag shows doesn't work at all.
