Definitely some recency bias in here. And I don't see how half of these rank higher than Yoko Kanno's 'Tank!'.

Sally the Witch? It's clear whomever the musicians are, they haven't seen much anime and voted for the songs of animes they recognize (I also recognize Sally the Witch having seen that as a child in the '80s, but it definitively doesn't belong to any ranking of the best anime songs).

Not that I'd recommend anyone watch Elfen Lied in current year, but-- "Lilium." Come on.

On similar grounds, Eva's "Komm Susser Todd" is a better song.

And as everyone else points out how the fuck is Yokko Kanno nowhere on that list? "Inner Universe" and "Be Human," if we're doing the best besides Cowboy Bebop.
