I once had a shop in a mall here in the UK. I loved these liminal space type service corridors. Felt like going back stage where the public wasn't allowed. These places also connected to private, key card access car parks for shop owners so the public couldn't see you moving stock to your shop. I see a picture like this and it feels oddly safe and special.
