I've been growing my physical music collection for a little while now. Mostly vinyl records, but also some CDs. I've also been buying physical PC games whenever I see them. But for some reason, I'm not as drawn to having a physical movie collection.

If I did start collecting, it'd probably be just DVDs and not Blu-rays. (The Blu-ray DRM bothers me.) A few places near me have DVDs, and they're pretty cheap right now. However, since I rarely watch a movie more than once, I just don't really care to have a personal library of them.

Do you have one?

Yes, we started purchasing very early on with DVDs, when they were the new thing (I started with Betamax and VHS ;) and we never had any reason to quit using them. My spouse and I tried streaming very early on but after a few interesting years they quickly devolved into a very unchallenging crap factory merely trying to promote this or that type of ideology (we both dislike propaganda, no matter who's "camp" it's pooped from) so we cancelled and went back to our more valuable than ever collection of (great) movies on DVDs.

Like you: no BR discs because, as a GNU/Linux user, I don't want to bother with their DRM crap.

The same with CDs, btw: we also own a large collection of those. With a difference: it's 100% ripped, so I don't need to actually load the discs.
