A single autonomous unit provides coverage over a 90-degree sector, and multiple modules can be integrated onto a vehicle to deliver 360-degree coverage. Each block contains its own microcomputer, control module, daylight and thermal imaging cameras, and net launch tubes, Militarnyi reported.

The system detects incoming FPV drones at a range of about 40 meters against complex backgrounds like trees, and over 60 meters against open sky. Once detected, the onboard processor calculates the flight path and automatically fires the best-positioned launcher at the right moment, with a response time of 0.2 seconds.

As someone who grew up with cartoons full of netguns being used in ridiculous ways... the idea that netguns are a serious, reliable counter drone technology is just inherently goofy to me a little bit... and yet they are.

What is next? Someone is going to tell me ninja stars are actually pretty easy to throw and that grappling hooks are a real thing and work?___
