Longest streak this year was three weeks. Going for four. Doing this to stop a nasty habit that has ruined my relationships.

This is like the seventh year I do this and I always fail. This year though I have made the most progress in my addiction. If I can make it longer than three weeks that would be advantageous. This is a year and a half after a fifteen year relationship ended. Part of the reason we split up was because of my addiction.

If you actually care to stop what you say is a problem, antidepressants will cut your libido in half. Which for you might bring it to “normal?” Even low dose Effexor or something tame has make it so you’re not… in the mood for it all the time if that makes sense?

As long as I suffer from depression, I was using it as a form of self-medication. I don't really have a libido. I am asexual. Not really attracted to women but attracted to porn which is really unhealthy. I have been fighting this addiction for ten years. In and out of therapy, no therapist could really remedy the situation. And my psychiatrist won't help me because she just says its healthy but if it interferes with daily routines it is definitely unhealthy. NNN is an opportunity to grow. While there is nothing wrong with masturbation, porn is a nasty industry that is riddled with corruption. I've seen documentaries on it. So, there is a moral component. I also don't want to objectify people which is what looking at porn is doing.

Have you considered sex therapy? Trying this without professional help is challenging - you can’t even be sure this is the cause of your breakups…
