I miss the me that was alive when Red vs Blue was in it's first season

I don't miss having to use a cantenna to leech Wi-Fi from the Chipotle across the street because we were too broke to afford Internet, but I do miss 22yo me sometimes.

Then I remember what an asshole he could be, and ignorant as shit too.

Maybe I just miss the halcyon days of early Red vs Blue

Maybe that's why I still listen to Tales From the Stinky Dragon

    You miss the freedom of youth

    I didn't really have a lot of freedom then. Between familial and societal obligations I put on myself, and being broke as a joke, I have more freedom now than I did then. Actually, I think I miss the excitement of things being new. Music, movies, shows, art, games, when you're young you are experiencing things for the first time, your brain is still a sponge searching for stimulus, and it is exciting!

    Not to say life is dull, pointless, or without hope as you age. But it does feel like Moria sometimes…

    The world is grey, the mountains old,
    The forge's fire is ashen-cold;
    No harp is wrung, no hammer falls:
    The darkness dwells in Durin's halls

    We all miss being 22, and the internet of the 00s. But those of us who remember either well wouldn't likely go back. Ok maybe the old shitty internet might be tolerable, but my 22 year old self was an absolute wreck who needed therapy and a break.
