There are albums from the 90s/early 00s that I simply cannot remember which track was the radio single - the entire album is a banger.

Anymore, it feels like albums released are just one or two tracks + filler.

We should return to EP format - less filler haha

Lots of new bands are taking this approach. Exploring Birdsong was formed 7 years ago and released their first album this year. Before that they put out a couple of EPs and a bunch of single. The dude from Nemode told me they wanted to do the same when I asked him about their first album.

This trend annoys me. I find EPs too short. Just as I get settled in, they are over. None of the flow of a good album.

That paragraph reads the way I feel when I find a new artist that has tons of singles and EPs but no albums. I'm not sure why, but I only like music in two modes:

    1. Giant pile on shuffle
    2. Album played start to finish

I've been really enjoying a bunch of Prog recently and a lot of it is because of the focus they put on assembling good albums. You don't get Sirius without the rest of Eye in the Sky behind it.

That's actually the reason he gave me, they're a young band and they need to "really find their sound" before making an album worth listening to. Exploring Birdsong say the same thing in their interviews. Check them out if you're into prog BTW, awesome band.
