Live torrents for some old movies and pretty hard to find. I thought about somehow extracting .m3u8 but that didn't worked out. Those sits are getting better at hiding real stream URL. Any way to easy do it or something?

Between torrents, Usenet and the Internet Archive, most western media is findable. And for the really oddball stuff, try looking for a dvd and ripping it.

Public libraries can be a good source.

true, but if you want high quality releases, it can get very tricky. I finally finished DLing one torrent after almost 3 years about a month ago.

    Or without burned in subs.
Or finding out that an original release was cropped when the new rerelease had the full viewport restored while previously havung furiously researching the "original and full quality" release that was just cropped for the airing.

I did exactly this. Generally find everything on Usenet, but I've bought several DVDs of things I couldn't find. Most recently some really niche Frank Lloyd Wright documentaries 😆

I'd like to benchmark my library.
Care to share the title names? :)

So I discovered and bought the DVD for Restoration of Frank Lloyd Wright's Heurtley House and also Frank Lloyd Wright's Home and Studio. And because I'm a nerd and it popped up as a 'you might be interested in this', I got a CD titled Frank Lloyd Wright Companion, which is a catalog of plans and sections of varying quality. I also managed to find torrents for An American Home - Frank Lloyd Wright's B. Harley Bradley House. Didn't love that one honestly as there was very little content about the house itself and more about the history of the area and the people who owned it.

What about you? Curious to hear if I've missed any good ones

This is what my indexers came up for search "Frank Llyod":

No idea if the usenet releases are still 100% though. Would have to test it.

You mean if I find additional releases?
If that's what you were asking, my screenshot holds everything I have access to with my indexers.

Ps: Sorry for the awful image compression...

The really niche stuff is usually easy to find if you know where and how to look.
Sometimes hiding in plain sight (like the name in kanji/romaji with weird letters like ō vs oe/ou).

Rarely had the issue of not finding something but tbf, my taste is very vanilla and not particularly niche.
