Hacker reverse engineers his Samsung TV and finds on-device AI listening for your dog and baby, watching what you watch, and borrowing your soundbar's mic if the TV doesn't have one. Then OpenAI banned him for reverse-engineering it.

Why do you really care? I just accept that what ever I saw will be recorded in some way

    Indeed!

People like them remind me of that Alt-Right Playbook video on 'Everybody Hates Mondays' . A normal person doesnt hate Mondays at all, they hate Mondays because most people havve become so mind-numbingly complacent that most of them have decided that a bullshit-jobs, gig economy with nonsenesical 40 hour work weeks is 'A-OK' and that it is , somehow, OK to just get thrown back into the same bullshit routine every Monday.

I feel that its a complacency to the point that they dont even realize that theyre a majort part of the reasons why their life and everyone else's lives suck lol.

You dont have to be cooperative with a system that is practically genocidal. Doesnt matter if its your government that is literally funding genocide there or elsewhere or a massive company funding the programming of AI that will listen into yyour private home conversations and use that to steal your home, livelihood , and even your loved ones for a profit.

The article is saying its listening to your private living space. Its not just documentating what you're watching, its listening to everything you say.

Amazon echos been listening to me for years, Apple iPhones listen to you, I got too much on my plate to worry about something I can’t control and worry about.

It seems like you're not the target demographic of people that care about these things.

Many people do though. The people that do care aren't using Amazon Echoes.

When the political world is leaning towards fascism and the corporations don't fight it but allow it. That is deeply concerning.

Best make sure you only talk positively about your current political landscape with these devices nearby.

Some of us simply do not accept that kind of invasive and authoritarian bullshit, especially considering that what you watch is the least concerning of your private actions and information that they are actively and constantly gathering and transmitting. Some folks give a fuck about the ownership of themselves and their privacy.
