I think that’s the real issue here. If you’re wealthy, this is perfectly doable.

From what I see it’s an paradox, where the jobs that don’t make much money (artists/teachers) tend to attract wealthy people and the high paying jobs (engineers/scientists) tend to be lower class people who need high paying jobs

It is hard as an artist seeing your friends who started out in the same circles as you, doing effortlessly well with the parental support that they have. You can't resent them for it because why would you, if your parents were able, they'd do the same.

But you thought you were equals, starving as martyrs for your respective passions.... but, they had a parachute and you didn't.

Yeah, every “artist” I know has most of there money coming from some other source (investments, rental properties, etc).

On the reverse side, at my university chemical engineering used to be joked about as being for the poor kids. It’s very complex but at the time had the highest salaries. Rich people don’t need salaries, they have investments

wealthy you can afford to not work, thats why alot of them are YOUTUBERS. an example is taylor swift his parents were well off, but they made sure she went to all these classes, recording studios, while not have to worry about bills.

to give her an air of legitimacy they moved her to tennessee? to look more relatable to poor country folks. SHe was always conservative for that reason, and you see cracks of her maga showing in the last few years, shes careful to not be overtly supporting of right wing though.
