Also, we are used that important movements of protest be surrounded by black blocks, police disguised into rioter to rise violence, and thiefs coming to still easy targets. Some real manifestants have been extremly violent on some police officer, but exceptionally.

Some of the most dangerous amunition of riot police has been changed for a bit less dangerous ones... not a big victory yet. Parents tend to take side with their kids, teachers too, and a large part of those having younger kids. Those turning to far right were just waiting for an excuse to do so, the good news is that kids know how to fight (they will need it again soon).

This shit pops up around every single election. It is 100% to discourage Americans from voting. I was a little surprised to see it here on Lemmy - didn't think we'd attract bot farms like bigger sites. ...that said I don't think most of the ones pushing that shit here are bots. just real people who've gone so far tankie that they end up being 'useful idiots' and elevating MAGA cuz none of the competition stands up to their purity test.

I don't think it's necessarily their intention to support MAGA, but their intent doesn't change the outcome.

We've been protesting since 2018, because the rich got richer, the poor poorer and more numerous.

This is the government not listening to the people, that is what breeds violence. That is the reason for the violence.
