I wish I would have paid more mind to learning what tensions I play at. As I have typically only ever brought my guitar in to a shop to set it up for X tuning with whatever NYXL strings I could find.

As a young lad, I was convinced that thicker strings were what I was after because of dropping lower and lower. But, I have learned in years and years of playing that isn't the case exactly as it is way more nuanced than that.
