There are both pros and cons to either, PC gaming for starters is expensive considering today's economic landscape considering handheld PC's a cheaper alternative. Console gaming (Switch, XBOX, PS) cost less than a full desktop PC (let alone a gaming laptop), there are consoles for indoor use only (PS5) and portable / hybrid (like the Switch). Each format has exclusive titles.

I'll always be a PC player, every console I've owned has just become a dust collector. The last console I seriously played over a PC was the Super Nintendo.
