He’s still taken seriously in these organizations despite all the allegations against him. Every day this stuff gets easier. I’ve partly automated it.

You know, one of the reasons women make better feds is they don't have such a severe, unseemly need to seek out sexual violence. I want to find the Catherine Shakdams. This guy even looks like a cop.

I mean… just being a normal guy here, it’s kinda gross no? Even as a “joke”, it’s kinda gross. Not even kinda, it’s just gross. I think OP was more concerned about the responsibility public figures have and calling him out for being weird like this is totally valid. We should be holding people accountable for things not shielding him because he’s on a flotilla. Even if he’s not a grifter other people should be telling him to shape up. I’ve seen crass YouTubers do this flotilla thing and they weren’t gross or never allegations from Palestinian Americans that he fetishizes the people he wants to “help”…

    Hold him accountable for what, exactly? What's gross about it? He's an adult man asking adult women to send him nudes. He's not badgering anyone, nothing about the post fetishized anyone, and he's not sending nudes unsolicited. So what's "gross"? Just the fact that a cishet dude is horny posting on main? Like, genuinely, if that's not the objection, then what is?

    You aren’t entitled to women’s bodies just because you “cast a wide net” and you do activism. Women are valid for calling this act sexist, childish, objectifying behavior.

    I know you're at the very least on the side of the people who want a sexless future because you think I'm a pig for saying there's nothing wrong with asking for casual/meaningless sexual activity as long as you take no for an answer and don't bother someone who's made it clear they aren't interested.

    And that's all I need to know to know you're 100% wrong about this subject. Tbh, you're pretty fucking based on everything else I've ever seen you engage with on Lemmy, but you're not even in the same ballpark as right on this. Saying that any public expression of horniness by a straight dude is inherently entitled and predatory (and that's what you're doing here, whether you want to accept it or not) is reactionary AF. You're defending bourgeois sexual mores originally created to maximize the price bronze aged goat fuckers could get for selling their preteen daughters to middle aged men. There is no version of purity culture that's compatible with a world free of domination systems.

    From other comments I gather he has done things that are genuinely bad, so call him out for that. Make sure everyone contemplating sending him nudes knows who they're sending them to. But don't pretend him asking for nudes is in the same category of behavior. That's not only fucked up, it's counter-revolutionary.
