Why are parts of application in a different language? (lemmy.world)

As you can see in the screenshot there are a couple of parts of the F-Droid application page in F-Droid that are in a different language. This isn't actually the first time I have seen this and is not limited to the F-Droid application. Currently it's just this one, but in the past I have had more apps than not displaying some or all of their content in a different language despite my phone being configured for English.

have you tried changing either/both to another variation of english? my phone has a plain “English” in addition to “English (US)”, and/or you may have a “(UK)” variant

    I have, and that didn't seem to work. The Gitlab issue that the other user posted seems to be highly relevant because all of the users reporting an issue have the same phone that I do.

    interesting! i didn't see that comment at first. i see somebody mentioned in the issue thread that it doesn't occur in f-droid basic, so hopefully you can just use that in the meantime.
